Etsy Wedding Inspiration
So, in about a month, I'm getting hitched. It's kinda surreal. I know I keep saying it. But it is. And much of my inspiration came from Etsy.
I used Etsy.com quite a bit in procuring things for the wedding. For instance:
My save the date and invites. I worked with Brush and Mallet on the design that I took to Kinkos and had printed up. I was so pleased that I wanted to make sure I put a shout out on the blog.
For my favors, I chose to go with rustic looking packet of coffee, mexican hot chocolate and spiced chai tea. They'll be perefect for a mid October wedding. Apropos Roasters was super helpful and worked with me to develop unque favors that were also vegan friendly. She even sent samples!
Since our wedding has a western/fiesta feel to it, I had to have these mini papel picados from aymujer! .
I found the sah that I will be wearing with my dress on Etsy, as well. Bean and the sprout and so many wonderful things in her shop. The rosettes are made of reused fabric from a dress. I love it. It's even more stunning in person.
I also ordered one of the gifts I'm going to give my bridesmaids. I won't show you the actually gift. BUT the little bag it comes in speaks for itself! Junghwa does beautiful work. Her jewelry is adorable and wonderfully priced.
These are only the ones I've commiteed to, so far. There is so much awesome stuff out there. I may just have to do a post on the stuff I wanted to purchased through Etsy.
Have any unsold crafts you don't mind donating to a good cause?
This post is on behalf of my best friend Kristin.

Sacramento Area Crafters: TEAM needs your help.
My bestie, Kristin, a Sacramento native who recenly moved to D.C. is participating in charity triathalon. She and her husband Jason have to rasie 3700 bucks and she needs our help.
Want to donate? Please read her message below.
Last week I lost my grandma, Ellen Reaves, to a long battle with lung cancer. My grandma has always been such a big supporter of my weight loss and fitness goals. She was so proud of me when I did the Lake Tahoe bike ride last year. This year, Jason and I are racing our first triathlon and now we will now be racing in my grandma's memory. One of the great things about the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society is that they believe a cure to blood cancers will lead to a cure to all cancers, including the lung cancer that my grandmother had. We would greatly appriciate your support in finding a cure to all cancers!
Jason and I are also racing in honor of Kat Hollowell. Kat is the best friend of Jason's sister Brianne. They became friends at a young age when the families were living in the Bay Area. Kat was diagnosed with Leukemia as a child and is a survivor. Now she is married and just had her first child a few weeks ago.
We've been training for just under 3 months, and the triathlon is 40 days away! We still have $3700 to raise in order to compete and just under 4 weeks. We are asking for your help by contributing $10 to our efforts. More information is available at the link below but we are looking for sponsors of each leg our tri! As a sponsor we will swim, ride or run with your name, knowing that you are supporting us on this journey. We will also add a sponsorship section showing which leg of the race you are supporting us through!
Suggested Leg Donation Amounts:
1500m Swim - $15
40k Bike - $40
10k Run - $10
Full Tri - $65
We've really been enjoying our experience so far with swimming, biking and running. Last Tuesday I got past a big wall with swimming and swam 1500 meters! This Sunday we are having our first open water swim at a lake and we get our wetsuits! Jason also sees the biggest improvements with swimming as well. He says that he can now breathe on both sides and doesn't get out of breath. We've also seen some of the most beautiful scenery on the East Coast, including parks and creeks in DC that a nice get away from the city.
Being a part of TNT has also helped Jason and I make new friends with similar interests in our new environment! Thank you so much for all your support along this journey. We will keep you updated with our training efforts!

Greetings from Fairytale Town,
Let your imagination run wild at Fairytale Town, a 2.5-acre children's play park and outdoor children’s museum that brings fairytales and nursery rhymes to life! Located in William Land Park in Sacramento, Fairytale Town has delighted millions of guests, inspiring imagination, creativity and literacy since it opened in 1959. We are currently planning our final event of the season, Winter Wonderland, scheduled for two nights, December 3 and 4 from 5PM-8PM. This is a family focused event and will feature hands on activities, gift wrapping, holiday vendors, hot chocolate, Father Christmas and plenty of other exciting holiday surprises. The biggest of which is a dazzling display of holiday lights throughout the park.
We are now accepting participation applications from Sacramento area organizations that are interested in having a booth at the event. The booth will be a ten foot x ten foot area with one six foot table and two chairs provided by Fairytale Town. Vendors are asked to contribute 20% of their gross sales to Fairytale Town. We ask that participating organizations help us spread the cheer of the holiday season and encourage all participants and guests to wear holiday inspired attire that will keep you warm during the evening.
All participating organizations will be able to discuss their organization and sell their products directly to our
guests. Any materials brought into the event must be taken at the end of the event and all vendor fees must be
paid to Fairytale Town at the end of the event. For further information or questions please contact me directly.
Thank you for your consideration,
